Best Stay at Lanta is a hostel on the island of Koh Lanta, in the south of Thailand. The hostel is located 500 metres from long beach, one of the more popular beaches on the island.

Location
Best Stay Hostel at Lanta is located in the heart of the tourism area of the island. Nearby are multiple restaurants, the islands only gym, some good cafes and the largest beach of the island in Long Beach.
It is a great location to base yourself to explore all of the available activities that the island has to offer.
Security
The hostel has great security. In the rooms there are large lockers under the bed that can be padlocked with your own padlock, and you will also be given an arm band that unlocks a smaller personal safe in the bedroom as well as giving you access to the hostel.
Storage
The lockers underneath the bed are large enough for me to fit in my entire travel bag thus keeping safe all of my camera gear!
There is room at the side of your mattress to store personal items such as phones, deodorant, or water bottles.
Bathrooms & Provisions
The bathrooms were always kept clean during my visit with ample bench space, plenty of mirrors, soaps provided and showers and toilets kept separate which is always a plus.
Bedrooms
The Bedrooms at Best Stay at Lanta are big enough, with good common space at the end of the beds and curtains provided for privacy.
Bed Comfort
Unfortunately the beds were a major let down. The mattress, or the under sheet did not breathe well at all and it feels like you’re sleeping on plastic as your skin gets sweaty despite the air-conditioning.
Food and Drink
Breakfast
Breakfast is free and delicious. One of the better hostel breakfasts with more variety than you would generally find. All the basics are still there with the addition of some nice local cuisine.

Free water is available, other drinks also available at an additional cost.

Noise Levels
This hostel is very quiet, the rooms are all upstairs and well isolated.
Guests / Staff
The man who does the scooter hire with the hostel does a great job, he will check all the brakes and trye pressures for you. Beach mats are also provided or free

The beds are the major drawback here. Perhaps they have since fixed it, but an interrupted sleep is never a good thing when you’re travelling.
Summary
Overall it’s still a great hostel, not quite the best you will find in Thailand but definitely a very good option for those in Koh Lanta.
