Southeast Asia

The heart and soul of backpacking is without a doubt Southeast Asia.

Europeans flock here to find a nice tropical beach and work on their tan. Australians flock here due to its close proximity and their love of the beach. Everybody flocks here for the cheap cost of living.

Perfect for the backpacker who is just getting started as it is generally considered very safe with low crime rates and hospitable locals.

I have visited Southeast Asia a few times now, including to Indonesia but that was before I started the blog so I haven’t written about Indonesia yet, but check out some of the other places I have gone and explored.

Malaysia

Malaysia is often overlooked by travellers but it has tropical islands as well as the mainland to explore.

The Philippines

Thousands of islands, where to start?

The Philippines are as stunning as it gets.

Thailand

The backpacker hotspot and one of the original destinations for people wanting to explore.

Vietnam

Long and thin, slips right in!

Right into your travel plans that is. Something for everyone and still cheap as chips.
